Picture: Renault Clio RS World Series

Very few distinguish this Renault sport series from a normal and ordinary Clio.

The tires are in black anthracite color, two exhaust pipes, aerodynamical diffusers at the side and in the back, one anagram “World Series by Renault” in the door lateral. But the true difference is in its heart.

2 liters motor and 16 valves that gives 200 CV ( 145 kW ) of power 7250 rpm and 215 Nm maximum torque to 5500 rpm. The motor have a 6-gear gearbox developed by the alliance between Renault and Nissan. The fifth and sixth gear have a longer development with the aim of improving acoustics when we circulate by the highways.

Top speed 223 km/h. This new gearbox will be incorporated in all the Sports of the Clio versions as from Octubre.
