Mazda Furai Concept 2008
The International Detroit Auto Show ( January 13, 2008 ) will be the scene where Mazda Motor shows for the first time his new Concept Car named Furai and also a new sportive RX-8 version for the 2009. This is going to be the first time since the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2007 in which Mazda showed their prototype outside of Japan.
Furai means “Sound of the wind” in Japanese.
Mazda leaves their sportive mark in all the vehicles that develops but this time they also begin to develop a new sportive that take care of the environment pollution motive by the which it will use the 100% of ethanol developed in association with British Petroleum ( BP ).
The car uses the Courage C65 chassis that participated in the ALMS series (a great vehicle that participated a couple of years ago in the series). The 450 CV and their three rotative motors separate him from any other car known to this date.
According to the designing director of Mazda North America, Franz Von Holzhausen, “The Furai crosses on purpose the line that separated traditionally the street cars from the race cars normally called ’supercars’ “.
