Tata Nano: the cheapest car in the planet

Like Ruben Blades says in his song: “the life give you surprises, surprises gives you the life”. First I got impressed when I knew that Tata had been the Ford chosen brand for the sale of their deluxe brands: Jaguar and Land Rover. Now they surprise us again with this vehicle that lacks practically of everything ( has just one windshield wiper, without centralized closing, neither power steering, and if you want air conditioning you better begin to blow or open the window).

Use belt drive ( much more economic and easy to maintain than manual or automatic ). The motor is two-cylinder and 623 cc ( Do you remember the 600? ) But with multi point injection. Develops 32 CV of potency and it can reach 70km/h , although I do not believe that this be possible with the four occupants inside.

His dimensions get close of the ones of a mini car. With only 3.1 meters of lenght than a Smart Fortwo.

It doesn’t fulfill the European environmental normative and that’s the main reason why nowadays is impossible that we see this model in the Spanish streets. Anyway does somebody believe that they are going to sell it at the same price that worth in India, 1700 euros?
